Attention Sienna residents! The Sienna Parks and Levee Improvement District of Fort Bend County has scheduled a public hearing to discuss the proposed tax rate for the 2024 tax year. This is your chance to learn about and voice your opinion on the district’s financial plans.

Key Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2024
  • Time: 11:30 a.m.
  • Location: 202 Century Square Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77478

While the proposed tax rate remains unchanged at $0.4125 per $100 of value, the average homeowner may see an increase in their tax bill due to rising property values. The district estimates that the average residence value has increased from $476,001 to $519,351 over the past year.

What does this mean for you? The tax on an average residence homestead is projected to increase by $178.82, from $1,963.50 to $2,142.32. This represents a 9.1072% increase from last year.

The Board of Directors plans to use these funds to cover debt service and operating needs while maintaining financial reserves. They’re also looking to establish a capital reserve fund for future maintenance and repair projects.

It’s important to note that individual tax situations may vary. Your personal tax change will depend on how your property value has changed relative to others in the district.
